What Is An Attractive Nuisance: Drowning Liability?

Who is to blame when a child drowns in a pool or lake?  Quite often, the "attractive nuisance doctrine" comes into play.  It is not always involved, but if a person has a pool or swimming hole and doesn't take adequate protection for safety, there may be liability on the part of the property owner.  A child nearly drowned recently in Greenacres, Florida, although facts have not yet revealed whether the attractive nuisance doctrine comes into play.
